Jules Meyer
Birth & Postpartum Doula • Founder of Flo to Grow
I'm Jules — an Australian doula based in New York, shaped by three countries, two wild boys, and a deep belief that birth and postpartum deserve better than they usually get.
My practice has been built across Australia, Singapore, and the United States. Three maternity systems with very different approaches to birth, postpartum, and what support actually looks like. What I found consistent across all of them: when people feel genuinely informed and supported, something shifts. Fear quiets. Decisions feel possible. The room changes.
This work has been shaped by both professional training and lived experience, and by witnessing what becomes possible when women are truly supported.
My work centres calm, clarity, and trust in the body during pregnancy, birth, and early postpartum. I support women who want to feel informed without being overwhelmed, held without being managed, and deeply respected in their decision-making.
I believe birth and postpartum are not problems to be solved, but transitions to be supported with steadiness, presence, and care that honours physiology, lived experience, and autonomy. My approach is quiet and intentional, offering guidance when needed, space when that's what serves best, and continuity through moments that matter.
That same belief led me to build Flo to Grow, a birth & postpartum preparation app for birthing people, their partners, and their care teams, wherever they are in the world. Because not everyone can access a doula. And everyone deserves preparation.

Serving families virtually worldwide and in-person in Westchester County, NY and parts of CT: including Westchester County, Fairfield County (CT), and parts of Putnam County. Towns I commonly serve include Bedford, New Canaan, Stamford, Greenwich, Mount Kisco, Ridgefield, Armonk, and White Plains.
My service radius for birth
I work in person within a defined radius of Pound Ridge, NY, which covers many of the hospitals in Westchester County and nearby parts of CT (including Mount Kisco, White Plains, Cortlandt Manor, Sleepy Hollow, and surrounding areas).
If your planned place of birth falls within roughly 20–30 miles of Pound Ridge, it is likely within my in-person service area. Final confirmation is always based on exact location and logistics, as outlined on my website.
For those outside this radius, virtual support options are available and offered globally, subject to mutually workable time zones and availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
I work with women and families who value autonomy, thoughtful preparation, and calm, grounded support. Many are already informed and are looking for support that helps them feel steady and resourced, not managed or directed.
-
Yes. I support home, birth centre, and hospital births.
My approach remains the same across settings, supporting physiological processes where possible, protecting your autonomy, and helping you stay grounded and informed within the system you’re birthing in.
-
Support doesn’t disappear when plans change.
I support informed, conscious decision-making, whether that means continuing physiologically or navigating intervention with clarity and agency. My role is not to push a particular outcome, but to ensure you feel supported, respected, and steady in your choices.
-
No.
I work alongside your partner and care providers. I support your partner to feel confident and present, and help ensure communication remains clear and respectful, without taking over or speaking for you unless invited.
-
Yes, particularly for those who value preparation, reflection, and autonomy.
Many first-time parents find this approach helps them feel grounded rather than overwhelmed by information, and more confident navigating the unknowns of birth and early postpartum.
-
I work with a limited number of families at a time so I can offer deep, present, and responsive support — particularly during the on-call period around birth.
This means availability is limited.
-
Full-spectrum support recognises that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are not separate events, they are one continuous transition.
This offering supports preparation, birth, and the early postpartum period as a whole, rather than fragmenting care into isolated stages.
-
Yes.
Some families choose to add additional postpartum support once they’re home and have a clearer sense of what they need. This can always be discussed later — there’s no pressure to decide everything upfront.
-
Yes. Payment plans are available and can be discussed during our connection call.
-
Begin by sending an enquiry through the contact form.
If it feels aligned, I’ll invite you to a connection call so we can explore your needs, answer any questions, and see whether this support feels like the right fit.
-
No — and that’s intentional.
This support is best suited to those who value autonomy, embodiment, and calm, informed care. If that resonates with you, we’re likely a good match.
“The space and connection that Jules fosters in these circles resonate an immense warmth that is felt by all who attended. The village she creates by connecting fellow mothers, birth and postpartum professionals, and beautifully likeminded people is truely special, and just what my postpartum self was looking for. She so generously shares her connections and village, so others are able to reap the rewards. These gatherings are an essential component to wellbeing in motherhood.”
